When stem mastering helps
Stem mastering is useful when the mix is close but a few groups need independent control. Vocals, drums, bass, music and effects can be balanced before the mastering chain while the production remains coherent.

Prepare the stems
All stems must start at the same point, have the same sample rate and bit depth, and sum to the approved mix when played at unity gain. Do not normalize or trim them independently.

What can stem mastering change?
If the vocal sits too far behind the music or the bass dominates an otherwise finished mix, separate groups allow those balances to be adjusted before the final mastering chain. A four-stem delivery might contain drums, bass, music and vocals; the right grouping depends on your track.
A stem still contains everything printed into that group. It does not offer the same control as the original individual tracks. If the song needs detailed vocal editing, new effects or extensive instrument-by-instrument work, discuss a full mix and master instead.
How the online service works
- Choose stereo mastering or the appropriate stem package and complete your order.
- After payment is confirmed, upload your audio, a reference and your notes through the private order page.
- Carlo works on the master. Share your feedback for revisions, then receive the final files digitally.
Timing, revisions and delivery
Typical turnaround is 24–48 hours once the files and project information are complete. Larger projects and urgent deadlines are confirmed individually; this is not a guaranteed delivery slot.
Revisions are included to refine the agreed artistic direction. Send clear references and notes before work starts, and discuss any changes to the project scope directly with Carlo.
You receive the final master digitally. Tell Carlo your intended release format and any alternate-version requirements before work begins so the delivery can be agreed.
