Mastering FAQ

Mastering is the final quality-control and presentation stage. It balances tone, dynamics and level, improves translation between playback systems and prepares the correct delivery files without changing the identity of the mix.

Mixing works on the individual tracks of a song: vocals, drums, bass and instruments. Mastering works on the completed stereo mix, or on a small number of grouped stems, to create the final release master.

Choose Stereo Mastering when the mix is finished and you have one stereo file. Choose Stem Mastering when a few grouped elements still need extra control. Choose Mixing + Mastering when the full multitrack needs to be mixed.

Send a WAV or AIFF file at its original sample rate, preferably 24-bit. Remove final limiters, maximizers and intentional clipping from the master bus, but keep processing that is essential to the sound. There is no need to target exactly −6 dB; the file simply must not clip.

For paid work, place the order first. The private upload area opens after payment is confirmed and accepts multiple files. For a free sample, complete the essential fields and upload one file of up to 250 MB; no account is required.

It is stored privately for the evaluation and automatically removed from the server after 30 days. The free sample is intended to let you hear the direction before placing an order.

Yes. Revisions are included so that the final result reflects the approved artistic direction. Clear references and notes at the start help make the first version as focused as possible.

The typical turnaround shown for stereo and stem mastering is 48 hours after the files and project information are complete. Larger projects or urgent deadlines are confirmed individually before work begins.
